By accessing or using Sharedrop you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and the operator of Sharedrop.
“Sharedrop”, “we”, and “us” mean the service operated by scottowen.com.au at sharedrop.cloud. “Content” means any files, documents, images, or other material you upload or share — whatever the file type. Sharedrop lets you upload content and share it with humans through public, shared, or private links, including via API, MCP, and CLI for AI agents.
You must use a real, deliverable email address and provide accurate account details. Authentication is handled by Clerk; you can sign in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
You must own, or have all necessary rights, licences, and permissions to, any content you upload or share through Sharedrop. You must not upload content that is not yours, that infringes copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual-property rights, or that is otherwise unlawful. You are solely responsible for the content you upload and for ensuring you have the right to share it with the recipients you choose.
You retain ownership of your content. We claim no ownership of it. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, and display your content strictly to operate the service for you and to deliver it to the recipients you choose to share with. This licence exists only to run Sharedrop and ends when the content is deleted, except for copies retained transiently in backups or as required by law.
Your use of Sharedrop is also governed by our Acceptable Use notice. In summary, you must not upload or share content that:
We do not read user content or monitor it for moderation. We operate a report-based (notice-and-action) model. Where we receive a report that content breaches the law or these terms, we may review it, remove it or disable access to it, and/or suspend or terminate the account responsible. We may also act where we are legally compelled to. To report content, see the reporting mechanism in our Acceptable Use notice.
Anything you mark public can be viewed by anyone with the URL and may be indexed by search engines and crawled by AI agents. Do not publish content publicly that you would not be comfortable sharing with the world.
Sharedrop currently offers three tiers. The live feature comparison is at /pricing.
An Enterprise tier with custom limits is coming soon — contact us for details. Billing is handled by Stripe. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. We may change pricing from time to time; we'll honour any active subscription's price for the current billing period. You can cancel a subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights or remedies you have that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
We aim to keep Sharedrop available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to the consumer guarantees and other rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Sharedrop and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, or data. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and costs arising from content you upload or share that is unlawful, infringes another person's rights, or breaches these terms, except to the extent caused by us.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the Acceptable Use notice. You can delete your account at any time — deletion cascades to all owned pages, versions, comments, access grants, and share tokens.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and the Commonwealth of Australia.
These terms work alongside our Privacy Policy and our Acceptable Use notice.
We will update the “Effective” and “Last updated” dates at the top of this page when these terms change. Material changes will be announced via email to the address on your account.
